Turns out bowerbirds are OCD. Weird, huh? Notcot featured a post from Substudio on them, and I was fascinated by the nests the males build out of twigs and colourful things to woo mates, complete with wee crazy-paved patios. Who says chivalry's dead?

What an insane amount of work - that bird's shelter even has struts holding the roof up! If I'm ever caught out in the wild I'm gonna find me a bowerbird fast.
