Like For Like

Never not loving Miss Moss. South African blogger Diana is always on the mark with her stylish finds and vintage discoveries. Every so often she treats us to an art/fashion mash-up and her latest offering inspired by the new Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 collection is a doozy.

I don't consider myself a girly girl, but these couture gowns are ridiculous. Stars and galaxies on capes and tulle? Oh my days.

weekend link love: colossal edition

One of my new favourite blogs This Is Colossal has been a goldmine of inspiration. Below are some links to rad things out in the wide world..

backstory

While ogling & stalking the crew members of the upcoming journal Kinfolk (that is promising to be quite the hit around blogland), I came across the blog Tiger in a Jar and became enamoured of their regular wee Backstory feature. I often wonder what the lives of people snapped by fashion paps are like, and Tiger in a Jar help fill in the blanks. They choose a street fashion shot of a person and outfit that sparks the imagination and give them a history.

mirror vision

I love the post on where the lovely things are about tumblr Mirrors & co. Seeing these movie stills collected together offers a refreshing look at psychological self reflection in film. Or that's what my douchy inner film student would say - I also like guessing the name of the movie heh.

Joanna posted these movie trailers below that I didn't know existed, so I'm interested to see what they're like. (Maybe you have seen these already, in which case congratulations: you live in the real world!)

Our Idiot Brother, premieres August 26th

50/50, premieres September 30th

I'm not sure what's come over me, but I've been drooling over food photography all week. Maybe it's got something to do with happy food with faces, they tickle me. Or the soft light and different textures. All I know is they're making me hungry.
