the quiet life
In 2005 I saw an exhibition of Julian Germain's photography at Baltic art gallery in Newcastle. I loved it! The show displayed works from his project For Every Minute You Are Angry You Lose Sixty Seconds of Happiness, which documents the details in the life of Charles Snelling, a widower Germain met by chance. The images have a tenderness and familiarity, maybe it's that I recognise my elderly relatives so much in him and his home. Anyway, enjoy :)
